INSPIRATION
I use acrylics, acrylic mediums, and drawing media to create a texture that I call "faux encaustic," that closely replicates the look and feel of pigmented beeswax. It is created on cradled wood panel to further give the illusion of being encaustic art.
Inspired by the 50s/60s/70s music that I like to listen to while I paint. They are loose and uplifting and full of warmth. The works from this collection are themed with titles from Motown's Top 100 Hits.
